2.0 Patch Update

Mon May 21, 2007 4:15 pm

Should we start new PBEM's with the 2.0 path coming out?

Any update on the status and potential release date on 2.0?

Many thanks!

The version 2.0 shall not be compatible with the current one, you'll need to update your version with the add-on. In addition, we won't release it before at least 3 months... :p leure:

So you can start your PBEM with latest version of BOA without fear :sourcil:

Pocus told us (in the French headquarter), that there will be another 1.12 patch (the .a version) on next friday, with modification for supply and personnal saved games (CTRL + save).
Sorry for my poor english.

Thanks Lafrite. I had not heard that another patch was coming. I've found the new supply rules definitely a challenge but thought they seemed more realistic than the virtual free pass on supply issues I had experienced before (well, except for winter in enemy territory). Although, if the AI is struggling with it then the rules probably need to be modified.

In a human vs human game, the new supply rules are very interesting and add a new challenge.

I would hope the current supply rules could be retained as an option.

I would probably choose the stricter supply rules in human vs human PBEM games. But then, I would probably select the more lenient supply rules if playing against the AI as it performs best without strict supply conditions. Even if playing the AI, if I could chose the strict supply rules for myself while allowing easier supply conditions for the AI, that would be ideal.

Making an option of the severity of supply rules would be great if it could be done relatively easily.

I concur. Having an option for PBEM would be ideal as I have adjusted my style to take into account the severe/historical supply rules.
