Army organization

Fri Mar 14, 2014 10:52 pm

I'm a newb at this game and maybe this is already possible or it's impossible or not useful due to technical issues/game play issues, etc. I think it would be nice to be able to add regiments to brigades or break up brigades into regiments. Maybe it doesn't make sense since divisions seem to be what you mostly work with but it would be nice to take that lone regiment and add it to a brigade if you want to...to help with organization.

You can build single regiment brigades. Recruiting by regiment would be more historical, particularly for the Union, but the present system is there most probably to reduce micro-management. One wants the casual gamer in the customer base, too.

I'm thinking of being able to get those single regiments into a brigade so I only have to manage the brigade. So if I have a one regiment brigade show up on the map I can add the regiment to a different brigade and it would add its stats to that brigade and would show up on the inspection panel as part of the brigade...or maybe add two or more single regiments together to make a new brigade.

If you did recruit by regiments that would be a ton of units to try to work with.
