Your language skills are severely limited and will prevent you from obtaining such employment, particularly in view of your lack of a degree and the fact that your posts here indicate that English is not your primary language (and that you do not seem to have worked on making it so). Competition in the writing, editing, and research fields is fierce and those who succeed bring stellar credentials and experience.

My advice (and I have been in the English education and editing fields for more than 33 years) is that you find an occupation that will tide you over while you attend college and freelance your way to a resume that will sell you to a potential employer. You will most definitely not get a job by posting on forums where the primary subject is playing games.

Expect hard work, and do not count on being successful.

Of course, if you are just another of the SPAMmers who have been wandering into this forum of late, I am sorry I responded at all.

Well, then, in all sincerity, best of luck to you.

I am very skeptical online about blind links people post on bulletin boards, forums and such. More often than not, they are nothing but trouble and can destroy your computer with what awaits when you click on them - so I never do, and I advise everyone I know to do the same. I am equally suspicious of those who merely start a "general discussion" thread and talk about unrelated subjects or trumpet a product of another publisher with whom I am not familiar.

Hope you understand.

Do you own either of the AGEod strategy games that are advertised and discussed at length here? If not, I suggest you browse these forums, get a sense for the discussion and the really excellent people who post here (and all the good things they have to say about AGEod and its products), and maybe try one of the demos.

These are truly excellent games, in my opinion, the very best on their subjects yet to be published.

I am not a moderator, but I say "welcome" anyway.

Thank you, and no I've never played the Games. I want them But I'm out of a job right now. The Game on forum in got is not the one that I wrote. It is going good though. I understand I dont really like to click on links in Forums either.

But yea I thought if some one was working on a French and Indian War, Rev. War, Civil War, or any war game they would like to try me. My english is not good but I do write a lot. The reason my English is not good is I was to busy in school working on my Game. I did Grad. though Thank God. You all are the only ones I told this becouse you complaned about the English.

Thanks again for the Hints.

Gewi, you should start low even if you aim high : participate in betatests, help some modder community, design/tweak scenarios, try to post game articles on the web or in a mag. When you curriculum will indicate serious game experience you could really begin looking out for a job seriously.
Game designing is not a gift at birth, it requires knowledge and experience.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure AGEOD won't hire any designer anytime soon... It's a really small business, the only real employee is the boss (PhilThib) ! :8o:

Ooh crap I gave away the secret ! :niark:
Seriously, legally Pocus isn't "employed" by AGEOD, though he works full time with it, holds shares etc...

I am not employed by AGEOD either... in fact the company has no employee, only shareholders... and the developments are all made by AGE Studio (see http://www.age-studio.com/), which is where we are employed... :indien:
