Casus Belli - Si vis pacem para bellum

Fri Sep 20, 2013 10:14 pm

From time to time in the journal entries I see that one nation gained a casus belli over another one and etc.
But then, where is the information stored ? When I go to my diplomacy screen I can't find any information about CB's. I'd like to see who has one on me and which CB's do I "own" and over who ?
Can't find the info ... :-(

you'll find the cbs you have in the diplomacy screen - just look under 'treaties in effect'. You can find the others but its a tedious process - I've not got the game open so this maybe a bit wrong. But basically, click on the nation's flag in the diplomacy screen and that will show you all the treaties, cbs and wars they currently have.

Having said that, in my experience most of this short lived CBs lead to nothing. In my game, I think it was one of these that set off the long running Anglo-Prussian war, I suspect it was one that created the second Ottoman-Russian war (the first was the 'Crimean' War), but that may have been a product of a normal CB for holding an objective region. So in 45 game years, I think I have seen one of these temporary CBs lead into a war. Worth remembering, they expire pretty quickly (again unlike the ones triggered by territory that are renewed every 6 months)
