some one up for making a wikipedia article

Mon May 07, 2007 8:34 pm

mabye someone with good knowledge of the game, can make an article about the game, it's a good way to get new people intrested in the game, if they might be reading about Sid Meier's Gettysburg, and they hit a link to computer games about the ACW, and they will get a list with lots of games about the ACW, and if someone made a article about this game, it would be on the list, and you could get lots of new buyers.

We have already worked on the French version of Wikipedia:
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGEOD
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birth_of_america
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ageod%27s_American_Civil_War

Next step will be the English version! :sourcil:

Forrest said something about killing a Yankee for each of his horses that they shot. In the last days of the war, Forrest had killed 30 of the enemy and had 30 horses shot from under him. In a brief but savage conflict, a Yankee soldier "saw glory for himself" with an opportunity to kill the famous Confederate General... Forrest killed the fellow. Making 31 Yankees personally killed, and 30 horses lost...

He remarked, "I ended the war a horse ahead."

Not wanting to be critical when I haven't contributed myself, but it reads very much like marketing material, especially since it has the wrong number of scenarios/campaigns that we've seen in other places?

Never! :D

BTW, has anyone considered a wiki dedicated to AACW? (A question that should not come as a surprise to those who know me from elsewhere... ;) )

Yes, it's indeed too much commercial. Feel free to edit it. :cwboy:

It was made in that way, in order to let real players edit and improve it... :indien:
