German unifaction question and advice

Sat May 25, 2013 1:15 am

hey guys,

Just wanted to say i am really enjoying the game thanks to all of you answering my questions but i got more....

I just went to war with Bavaria as Prussia, destroyed all their armies and took all their cities... yet Bavaria is still a country and worse off, i do not have enough VP to take all the cities and one of them is part of unified Germany :( help and advice?

Also am i better off having two smaller armies with no penalties or one large one with full penalties?

If you hold the capital for long enough you'll see your warscore go up, also they will start to offer you better and better peace terms.

Never create a stack with a 35%CP malus, on top of everything else that will seriously hamper your rate of fire. In the main multiple armies works well in PoN - they tend to self-support and its better to accept the occasional battle where you find the enemy concentrates on one or the other (it happens rarely) rather than the regular loss of combat expertise.

Not sure you needed to go to war with Bavaria, I think if you'd followed the historic sequence of war with Austria and then France they would voluntarily join and then you'd inherit their army and all their resources. But I've not played Prussia so not sure.
