Replacement Pool

Sat Apr 27, 2013 4:29 pm

Hi folks, can anyone tell me what the replacement pool graphics are telling me here?
The second chit has its value of 97 grayed out - why? I can still add replacements.
The third is in red with !!! - I can't add any further replacements so I assume this is what the graphic is telling me?

I've always read it as the degree of hits which need replacements, black is OK, the grey or faded is representing quite a lot of hits and red with exclamation mark means a lot of hits need replacing.

The red is only 16/4 though rather than 125/7 and 97/5. Next turn for some reason I am able to add to the red chit which now is just red without the !!!.

The mind is boggled!

Put your mouse on the little man figure beside the numbers. The tooltip says that it is the number of hits missing in elements.

Hi Ebb, I understand that - it is the various colours that I'm not sure about. What do they all mean? Why could I not add a replacement when the red chit showed !!! but I can now that it is just red? And why is it now just red without the !!!? Why is 16/4 considered something to show in red while 240/5 is grey?

Cheers,
Chris

The tooltip also says how many of a certain type of replacement you can have at any one time. So it doesn't matter how many hits are showing, lots=red, red with !! =lots and lots, if you already have the maximum number of replacement elements you can't have any more until the ones you already have are used. The colour is also an indicator of hits to total strength I think. If you have only 4 elements of slingers then 9 hits is going to be quite a high %, therefore the 9 is shown in red. The grey number in your pic is the infantry, there are many more times the number of elements on the field of these, therefore 240 hits as a percentage of the total is not a lot. Its telling you at a glance that the red with ! needs replacements more urgently than the grey numbers.

I believe there is a tooltip on the tiny man silhouette.

On the subject of the tiny chits, some of them are quite resilient to clicking, that is, only a very small part of them seems to be clickable.

This is probably a problem of the whole image not declared as opaque. I'll see with the AJE team about that.
