Please can you mention the things that needed to be fixed to add to a checklist of specific things to check?

This script was the last step in changing over economic structures in Saarland from Russia to Germany. I tried the province transfer script which worked for a couple other places like Pfalz, but it did not work for Saarland. When I discovered that the province is called Saar in the regions folder (not Saarland as it appears on the map) I changed my script, but that version did not work either because I was using the same script title as the previous ones. I did not know the game keeps a running log of script titles used and that every script needs a unique name/title to be processed.

PhilThib created a script for me with the help of Pocus. It took some testing and a few versions later we got it to work. However, it removed the Russian structures as intended, but did not replace them with German structures. This script we ran today placed the structures as German and completed the process.

The Netherlands and Great Britain have agreed to a transfer of the Military Outpost in Sorong. Can the host for the next turn add the following script:

SelectFaction = $CMN
SelectRegion = $Anglia
StartEvent = 1875 Sorong Military Outpost Transfer|1|1|NULL|NULL|$Anglia|NULL
Conditions

Actions

SelectFaction = $HOL
SelectRegion = $Sorong
RemoveStructure = ByDefUID $Outpost;ALL;HOL

SelectFaction = $HOL
SelectRegion = $Holland
ChangeResStock = $merSteel;13
ChangeResStock = $merCoal;13

SelectFaction = $GBR
SelectRegion = $Anglia
ChangeResStock = $merSteel;-13
ChangeResStock = $merCoal;-13

SelectFaction = $GBR
SelectRegion = $Sorong

CreateStruc
SetType = $Outpost
SetName = Old Dutch Fort
Apply

EndEvent

Guys, the DIPLOS! :eyebrow:

--

Btw,
time to fix the vassal chain bug. If a colonial region goes to vassal status (which is equivalent and even more strict than protectorate), it cannot improve to full-blown colony. This is an issue in the code that misses the parameter to accept vassal status as well as prerequisite to form a colony, although that should be possible, according to the manual (as Vassals are nothing more than the special protectorates for the Ottomans, Chinese, and Japanese).

So we need to run this:

Code: Select all

SelectFaction = $CMN
SelectRegion = $Kuriles
StartEvent = Fixing Kuriles Vassal Status (1875)|1|1|NULL|NULL|$Kuriles|NULL

Actions
SelectFaction = $JAP
SelectRegion = $Kuriles
SetColStatusArea = $Colony_Kuriles;$colProtectorate
EndEvent

This sets the status of Kuriles back to Protectorate (a lesser status), but it allows for Japan to declare that as colony. This is rather easy to fix in the main chain as well, possibly Pocus can add a fix to the next patch.

Easter? Tell me about it. I get vacation according to my foster country (Catholic Baden-Württemberg) but have to pass it in Orthodox Greece where it comes almost a month later this year. Uff. Sucks to be me. :bonk:

Savoyard, you play the second most puzzling nation (after Boernes' Sweden) in our alternate reality. I wonder how you will open your cards, when you will decide so... I don't buy it that Persia is not ready for its move... ;)

Which nation is #10 in the prestige ranking? After having surpassed both China and the great power of Japan, I'm curious :P

Italy or Spain, maybe? Perhaps Brazil? Nonetheless, the Prestige ranking is useless in itself as all nations have different ceilings. For example, you do not compete with Great Britain for Prestige alone, you will never reach it as it started higher and gets more each turn from its various assets. Of course the percentage of objectives reached is important as it can lead to instant (major) victory, but this is quite a remote possibility as I am sure the moment we see one player reaching risky heights (like 80-90%) all the others will declare war on him. :siffle:

The most important rankings are those in F10 screen because these ones get weighted according to the size of your nation. Moreover, I think in the end the rankings are shown using THOSE sub-rankings and the overall winner is set from overall ranking. :)

I have a problem with the Sugar beet diffusion Process tech, the progress stoped at 67% and I can't speed up it for some reason.

That is because it is an 1890 tech, that requires sugar nobilization to be researched before you can get it. The issue is that somehow it showed up before it should have, and thus we started researching it. At some point, the game realized that we can't have it without Nobilization, and thus stopped the research. It will be available later.

I say we run a parallel game with the silly saves. Anyone who was annexed gets a different nation and everyone gets a CB on Japan (Might want to fix the NM of 1000+, though).

I have a problem to report... the 44th U.S. Congress just got elected, and I am experiencing bizarre ratings with them in the F1 screen.

It seems the 44th Congress gets a -1 two ratings, so when combined to President Grant's 0 in Administration, that gives the U.S. a -1 for administration. Is this normal? I copied the stats below. I think this is quite odd, but perhaps the strangest thing to me is that I think the U.S. in this period should have minimum imperialism and diplomacy, but maximum administration.

U.S.A. stats
Pres. Grant + 44th Congress = total
6 + 0 = 6 Imperialism
0 + -1 = -1 Administration
5 + -1 = 4 Diplomacy

EDIT:

Unfortunately, I'm also having a problem in two provinces in Western Tennessee. They show having no railroads in the supply map filter (not shaded) and when you mouse over them they say, "Dev 100%, Major Road," but when you click in them they both show a railroad icon and when you enter the economic build menu and try to place a railroad, the provinces both show red and say, "cannot build structure here, another structure with the same purpose already exists," or something like that.

You are safe. The F1 screens can go negative, but if you notice in diplomacy you are confined between 1 and 9. Perhaps by those values the developers wanted to simply abstract the post-CW reconstruction difficulties while keeping the potential alive for some alternate reality options: after all Grant was a General, a man that knew war. In F1 the USA under Grant are a "regional force" after all, even with high imperialism do not expext to have easy overseas campaigns (as some bonuses are missing). Regarding the railroads, perhaps the designers simply forgot to add the graphic (or it's not working properly), first check if you can actually move quickly with rail over there.

bjfagan has added a file in the Dropbox in case you want to design the missing rails yourself. Please share the result if possible. :)
