Building commerical fleets/ships.

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere; however, I can not seem to find how to build commerical fleets either in the manual or in the game. If someone could direct me to the appropriate area in the game I would be most greatful.

Simple: you have merchant ships available to build in the unit building screen (same like military units, choose the anchor filter to get naval units only if you prefer). Just build merchant ships like you would for naval units, and that's it...once completed, sail them to one of the trade zones (the oval circles regions in the seas) and they will start trading for you...
