I was checking whether I understood the Command Point cost system.
According to the manual, a large unit (5+ elements) costs 3 CP, a small unit (4- elements) costs 1 CP, and not mentioned in the manual, but I assumed, supply units 0 CP.
When I checked the mouse-over data in the Marius vs. Sulla scenario, this seemed to be all correct.
Now I am opening the Pyrhic Victories scenario, and looking at command status again, and the numbers make no sense to me (BOR, most recent patch).
For example:
Roma praesidium (locked), 1* general, generates 4 CP (OK), force needs 8 CP (?) - how do they calculate that?, -20%
contains:
1 urba Ala, Command cost 2(?) - thought would be 3
1 urba Legio Command cost 2(?) - thought would be 3
1 Vigiles, Command cost 0(?) - thought would be 3 : 5 elements
1 Impedimenta, Command cost 0(OK)
Consular exercitus II (passive), consul generates 24 CP (OK), force needs 20 CP (?)
2 Legio, each (Command cost 2(?))
2 Ala, each (Command cost 2(?))
2 Impedimenta (Command cost 0(OK))
In the Samnite War scenario the total force CP needed generally does add up from the displayed costs per unit, but the cost per unit is different from the manual: I see hoplites with 6 elements costing 1 CP, and full legio's costing 2 CP.
So, my question is: what is the command cost per unit, and why doesn't it add up in the Pyrhic Victories scenario?
