PoN México Mod

To all Pride of Nations Fans:

I am officially announcing my intention to create a complete México Mod for Pride of Nations. Yep. I know the title got you excited, but I have not completed it yet

The reason I tell you all this is to let you know to look out in the future. I have only owned the game for a few months now, but I already have the "Modding Bug". I know this is a very ambitious project for a beginner like me, but I intend to stick with it until the end. I admire our friend who is creating a SCW mod for RUS, and I vow to you all that I am equally dedicated to this project.

Those of you more experience PoN players are welcome to offer your advice. I will probably need it. I have a few good ideas already and I would love if you all could contribute any of yours.

My goal is to finish this by the end of June, 2013. I know this seems like a long time away, but I need time to learn how to mod from how much I know now, which is nothing, and real life may slow me down. So again, the end of June, 2013!

Now, with all that said, where do I start?

I know the goal date sounds a bit unglorious; hopefully I will finish by then but as I said, I know next to nothing about modding. Hopefully I finish sooner.

I don't know how long it took Laruku to create his mods, but I hope this will be just as detailed. I plan to have a few cool events like the Caste War in Yucatán or the Yaqui wars in more detail. I think México has the potential to be very fun and challenging due to all the rebellions and civil wars (sort of like China, except even more chaotic), plus lots of resources.

I can only watch on as I can't do the scripting. A scripting workshop run by AGEOD or a fan would be very welcome, I could do with a break from London....
