I'd love AGEOD to go develop a tactical scale games at squad or maybe platoon scale. I wish they or Slitherine group had the squad leader rights instead of paradox who have just sat on them for years.
Not really since Grigsbys Steel Panthers has there been a really indepth tactical game. CM series and Achtung Panzer or now called Graviteam Tactics are superb games and funny enough AP is the only RTS game I've truly enjoyed (except Close Combat 2). We also have John Tillers squad battles but some mechanics that are abstracted really impede gameplay sadly. However we haven't had a top down old school wargame that ha slots of depth and fidelity since SP.
AGEOD have already developed my favourite ever Grand Strat Title WW1 Gold and I don't normally like that scale or get on with it shall I say, but WW1 Gold is a work of art and nothing comes close to recreating WW1. So make favourite scale is tactical...
I think AGEOD would be a great developer to take this on. So how about it!!
Pocus well he has pulled out of PC game development..but hey the games you develop are superb aswell and I thin a tactical game in your hands would be safe.
So really Pocus it's you and Ageod team I'd like to see go tactical..with a series covering all eras..either starting ancient\Roman then moving forward or start say at Vietnam then go backwards..Obviously there are massive difference between a Rome tactical game to a Napoleonic so it may not be practical to use the same engine but using some of your magic you maybe able to do it..
