CTL +C and CTL + D don't appear to be working

Sat Apr 21, 2007 3:42 pm

In V 1.01a, I follow the manual instructions, select two units and then CTL + D. They do not detach. CTL + C does not combine.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

In addition, i have noticed Ctrl+L (lock/unlock) sometimes need to be pressed more than once. eg: the units will "flash/blink" but no locks...repeat and voila.

What two units are you doing this with?

I'm sure this refers to Divisions.
To seperate a Division hit Ctrl+D. This should detach all units from the division HQ.

To form a Division, put all desired units in the same stack, use Ctrl+Click to select the Leader + Division HQ + any units you want.
When all units are selected hit Ctrl+C to form the division.

Is that what you mean?

No. I'm talking about a leaderless group of units, a large Union Detachment.

Shouldn't this shortcut work to detach multiple units from this group? Or does it only work with divisions?

OK, yeah, it only works for divisions.

For a normal stack, just Drag the unit off the stack.
For multiple units, Ctrl+Click to select 'em all, then drag 'em off.

I wouldn't mind having a keyboard shortcut for splitting off units from a stack.

I mistakenly thought that's what the control keys would do. It would be helpful to have this kind of shortcut for units, especially with how crowded things get around D.C.
