Congratulations, gchristie

But it's not over yet...

As nobody could tell, the movie from which my 4th picture was taken is....Disney's Snow White :w00t: , and the scene is the evil queen transformation:

First movie I ever saw in a theater as a kid, I think I was 9 or 10 years old. This scene and the one of Snow White in the woods really gave me the creeps back then. And it all goes to show that so called "kids" movies are quite underrated...

And, Hobbes, how about your last skeleton ?

hush...! you are destroying the mystic atmosphere of the non solvable riddles... :sherlock:

PS:

now Disney buying Lucas you can be sure even scifi goes "underrated" :eyebrow:
...not paid by AGEOD.

‘Everything is very simple in War, but the simplest thing is difficult. These difficulties accumulate and produce a friction which no man can imagine exactly who has not seen War . . . in War, through the influence of an infinity of petty circumstances, which cannot properly be described on paper, things disappoint us, and we fall short of the mark.‘

Wendy brings a little bit of America to the UK every year.

The kids love it (apart from one little boy who ran back up the street dragging his mum with him - very sweet).
The broom was cool - moving around on its own screeching. Possibly a bit tacky but for a few hours it was great fun.
+ we have a puppy who greeted everyone with a big lick!

Chris,

When I returned home from work what did I spy in my mailbox but your package. I let our daughter open it up and she was a little disappointed that nothing scary leapt out at her. But I was delighted to find a copy of Adrian Goldsworthy's Roman Warfare inside, along with what I assume is a Roman coin?!

I shall look forward to reading the book (no I have not read it before) and I shall not spend the coin all in one place ;-)

My thanks and best regards to you,

George

Hi George, glad to hear it arrived OK! The coin is of Claudius II (Claudius Gothicus 268-270 - just before my Aurelian scenario).

Claudius II (Gothicus)
(268-70) Antoninianus struck after his death. The reverse depicts an altar.

I spotted one of Aurelian while I was looking for the prize so I had to get that one for me!

Aurelian.
(270-275) Antoninianus, the reverse depicting Aurelian and a soldier.

I was going to get one of those butterflies that flies out of cards (once got Pocus with this :) ) but they were out :(

Cheers,
Chris
