Playing a game as Russia I’ve come across a strange bug. Both France and Britain surrendered to me early in the Crimea war due to naval losses they suffered off Odessa, but they both still have troops on Turkish soil even though they are now both neutral.
A couple turns ago I attacked what I thought was a lone Turkish garrison element in Constanza and was mystified that there were 3 or 4 different fights generated against single garrison elements defending the city during the turn, and at turn end Turkey still held the city. I had only seen one element inside the city with a mouse over during turn plots, but I assumed the other elements must have been concealed or something and played on.
The next turn my army failed activation, so no attacks were made. This turn there were another 5-6 battles against garrison elements launched, and it now appears that new garrison elements are spawning endlessly every time I eliminate the old ones. The only thing I see that might be causing this is the fact there are neutral French and British troops in the region outside the city.
