Will RoP work on my laptop?

Fri Jul 13, 2012 4:36 am

Rather than engage in a debate about whether my laptop is up to the task based on hardware, I ask instead if someone might compare RoP to other games in terms of performance on their machine. In other words, on a continuum of Ageod games based on hardware intensiveness, where does RoP fit?

My laptop can handle WiA and NCP with few problems, however RUS and AACW frequently stop working or work poorly because of memory and processing issues (I believe).

It really is hard to say without knowing at least your operating system. So a guess. There really are not greatly different demands. It is likely your game settings are not allowing your computer to use the 75% memory. Check this first.

Alright, well I've got Windows XP, Intel Duo Core 2.20GHz processor, and 2GB of memory, but no video card, which I suspect is what's holding me back. I always fiddle with the options when I install Ageod games (and others, for that matter), and I'm positive that the memory allocation setting is maximized for each game.

I'm simply wondering if I should expect RoP to run more like WiA or like RUS. I'll probably end up taking the plunge and buying it anyway, I do so love my Ageod games.

It is closer to RUS than WIA, at least on my laptop.

2GB Ram is not enough, considering a portion of that is allocated to your Video RAM.
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!
