No Ironclads

Fri Feb 03, 2012 9:16 pm

Hmmm... I got the "Ericsson's Folly" message on the E May 61 turn, saying that Union ironclads had been added to the force pool. But they haven't, as you can see from the pic.

I seem to recall that we've discussed this before, but I couldn't find the thread.

Is this a bug or WAD?

Ironclad arrival was delayed until the historical date that monitor/virginia showed up. (sometime in 1862 iirc) That string just needs to be fixed.

You do. It was March 1862. Thanks Pat and LL.

Not only does the original Erickson's Folly text need to be updated, but the event that actually puts ironclads into the build pools in March '62 need to have text added to denote this.

KY Ironclads...

Sat Feb 04, 2012 10:32 pm

The funny thing is once the KY event is triggered, you can build ironclads in KY, and before March '62... All other places however don't seem to have IC building capabilities until March '62... though, due to the changes I've never managed to get through to March '62 LOL. Some Eastern Front mods keep the Oberst busy, too!

LOL :D Not true :) but I never build ironclads in KY right after it opens because it's much safer to build them in MO or IL or OH until it' safe :D

Longshanks and I noticed this in the tournament, but it seems I forgot to report it to LL. Sorry! Good catch!
