Cannot close window

Battlereport main window won't close when I click the close button (V)

It did close when I right click anywhere on the map.

But the end of scenario result window wouldn't close in any way, and I couldn't return to the menu.

I had to kill the process with the task manager.

I think it may have been caused by trying to move the map during the execution of the turn (because the map shifted away from the action)

I played a couple of short games afterwards, and didn't touch the map while the turn was processed and the problem didn't come back.

Still, the repositioning of the map is confusing: it shifts the map to an area where nothing is happening, and then there is movement of my forces outside the area that is shown.

You are likely correct about the cause of the close window issue. I had never tried moving the map during battle display. I just did and got a very similar result to yours.

About repositioning, if I am not mistaken, in the options menu, media, you can select a different 'focus on move' option to change this seeming swinging to an area of no apparent activity. Also try the replay option viewing this area. It might be an opponent's move in an area where you have enough control to see the unit.
