So, How Can I Be The First In My Neighborhood...

Wed Apr 04, 2007 2:21 am

...to own AGEod's ACW? With the release date (reportedly) near, is it time to ask how the game will available and how to order it? Direct download? Download plus CD? Boxed set? Preorder?

AACW will first be available by direct download at AGEOD webshop because that's the most interesting way to sell for us. Thus, most of the community players money will actually come back to us and will be used to develop new games for you. :cwboy:

...and it is! Congratulations for such brilliant customer (or potential customer) care. I know of no other software house that treats its forum posters this well.

Bravo.

OK, I think I can now officialy promise I will buy the game whenever its available... By the way I have an ooooooooooold Laptop (Pentium3 1,86Ghz, 256 Ram and dunno what shitty graphic card), will it work ? I am yearning for games that don't suck up too much power and all...

Minimum specs are Pentium/AMD 1200 Mhz and 1024 RAM

256 Mo RAM is really low... :non:

I can confirm it's playable on 512 mb of RAM, but it tends to drag, so unless you've got a lot of patience, I wouldn't try it. I recently upgraded from 512 mb to 2 GB, and the difference is night and day.

Digital Download + Physical Shipment

Wed Apr 04, 2007 3:06 pm

Bonjour, mes amis,

I wanted to know if there would be a "pre-order" or release day option to buy both the Digital Download (I am a big fan of this, and have used it at Matrix Games many times) AND a physical shipment? Any idea on the extra price that might be levied?

First post here, btw, game looks great!

:coeurs: I did just want to mention to PhilThib, Europa Universalis was the first game that got me into the Grand Strategy genre, and I have been an addict ever since! :coeurs:

Merci beaucoup,

Son of Montfort

Additional question...

Thu Apr 05, 2007 5:39 am

Just to augment my orginal question regarding a lumped "physical/digital" selection.

I don't suppose there would be any chance that BoA and AACW would be offered as a "package deal" for those of us that missed BoA thus far?

You know... with a discount :siffle:

Yes, this is planned... kind of a bundle offer. We'll do it in some weeks, takes a little time to organize and we are currently all concentrated on releasing AACW... :niark:

If you release it today, I promise I will buy it immediately and start playing.

(That goes for any day, actually :siffle: )

I already have a committed PBEM opponent. Further, its a three day weekend in the USofA, and most of Christiandom.

Hallo

Well, I also have an eye on this game for some time and hope, it will be released in the next few days as I do not like the only actual alternative "Forge of Freedom". Your game seems to be much better ! :)

There is a public beta patch for Forge of Freedom that makes it far better. To make a fair and up-to-date judgment about FOF, you have to try a game with this patch. The AI will give you a run for your money!

You're free to talk about Forge of Freedom or any game you like in the General discussion forum.

Apologies to everyone about my previous (thankfully snipped) comment - I think the excitement over the imminent release of AGEOD's game went to my head.

Just wanted to say that I'm really looking forward to ACW. I especially like the unit art and the "boardgame" feel of the whole game.
