Thanks SEPRUS :)

Regarding the poirtraits, I see the graphics in the folders, but they are not used in the game? Syrovy, Grishin,... the .mdl files have not been updated.

Run a turn as SIberian White, no graphic for weapon factory in Irkutsk captured

Can someone confirm?

If 1.03a is settled and stable, and if it works with FY, I'll consider giving RUS a spin. (Bought it, just haven't taken the time to play it yet.)

Is there any plan to add new features to the game, or just bug fixes?

For example leaders bios, if they are not going to be added, perhaps it is better to remove the message, something like no bio info in version 1.00.

Probably something that would only happen if some volunteers helped with the work. Perhaps you should just try to start a thread dedicated to this project?

Also, thanks SEPRUS for including my graphic sets. I truely appreciate it. :) May I humbly urge you to do the same with Nikel's work? His portraits look great - much better than my attempts. http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=22243

I've updated using the 103a installer....but the startup screen shows version 103 only.

Can someone confirm if it should read 103a?

thanks.

My bad habit is to store backup files in a folder named "backup" in whatever directory I'm working in when modding. This is the first patch I've ever seen that deletes what isn't supposed to be there--like my backup folders!

Not a disaster for me, but there should be some warning to people about this "feature." Thanks for the good patch though ;)

Hi Seprus, I currently have a 3 player RUS game going, it was started on 1.03 with the weather hotfix, I would like to install 1.03a for the other fixes, do you think we will be ok to update to 1.03a and continue our game?

Thanks :)

Patch 1.03a seems to reintroduce undefined abilities for some subfactions (all Anarchists units, most of the French and Greek units). They are visible by the "question mark sign" on the unit counters and the "error" in the tooltip description. Lenin's special ability is now undefined, too.

Also there are some weird errors concerning divisional command in the scenario setups. Often divisional command is enabled for one of the combat units instead of the leader. Examples: Red in the 1919 Short Campaign (several divisions have divisional command enabled for an infantry formation and not the general supposedly commanding ths division); the Southern White start the GC with the Kuban brigade, divisional command is enabled for a cavalry regiment and not the commanding general.

just update it,
and i confirm what onearmedmexican wrote...

Still impossible to move South White Fleets to Siberian port (was possible long time ago) is it work like intended?

Btw those too visible bugs ruins my pleasure so i gave up again, so any hotfix planned?

To get the pleasure back, try Fatal Years mod. It is so much better.

Just one question about patch 1.03a:

I am in a middle of a campaign playing 1.03. Will I be able to continue it if I update the game with the newest patch? (I must admit that I was a bit surprised when I found out I could build forts and depots with my cossack peasant militiamen) :w00t:

And just a silly question from a total computer "dummy" user:

Is there any EASY installation guide for Fatal Years mod anywhere in this forum? (As everybody likes that mod very much and I am getting very interested about it)

Thank you very much in advance guys.

See you in Siberia.

Thank you very much Krot, but I have another question: Is it possible to play Kolchak´s coup scenario with FY mod or just the Grand Campaign? (I like old Alexander Vassilievich´s eastern adventures, I must admit)

Thanks again

AFAIK FY is designed to play only Grand Campaign so far.
On the other hand FY has lots of new events and options for White Siberian faction that make gameplay more diverse and interesting. For example in FY they control Northern ports of Murmansk and Arkhangelsk and can even absorb Southern Whites if successful enough (must seize and hold some objectives along Arkhangelsk-Tzaritzyn axis). That represents the fact that in 1919 Kolchak was recognized as "Supreme ruler of Russia" by Allies and other White factions. So I think it gives you good reasons to play FY as White Siberian.
Forgot to add that Kolchak will come in time in FY version of Grand Campaign. So if you choose to otherthrow Komuch government (as did Kolchak in real life) it is up to you to save Admiral from the firing squad on the Angara ice.
Good luck with FY. :)

My last question of today, I promise....(thank you Krot, you are so kind)

Will I be able to play as usual (I mean RUS 1.03) other scenarios and campaigns after installing FY mod, (the mod does only affect Grand Campaign) or will this game the only one available after installing the mod?

Thanks again.

As you can see in the video-guide (link posted above) FY will be stored in the separate directory called "Revolution under siege mod" with its unique shortcut. So you can play all scenarios of your already installed unchanged RUS version.

Unfortunately that is not true. :(

Sure Jack's portraits are in the graphics folders (and so are mine). But it seems the SEPRUS team forgot to update the database (or more likely reverted back to an older version which would explain the reappearance of undefined abilities amongst French, Greek and Anarchists).

As it is, none of the new portraits appear in the game (not even those supposedly added in patch 1.03).

I focused on Jack's work. For WH3, WH4, WH2, FRA, UKR, POL, ... please use the list I send to Sébastien along with my graphic files.

It took me an hour to go through the mdl files and didn't exactly improve my mood. :cursing: I am left wondering why each step forward with RUS has to be accompanied by a step back in the form of new bugs? Fortunately the steps forward are bigger than those backwards; still this endless cycle of new or recurring bugs is going to put people off what is an amazing game. This is all the more regrettable as these new bugs are often claringly obvious. :(

If I might ask: would it be possible to get some feedback on bug reports occasionally? I know I am spoiled from AGEOD; but it is a bit frustrating not have any response (Is there actually a bug? Will it be fixed? ...).

End of rant. Sorry :hat:

Destroy depot button not available

Sat Sep 17, 2011 10:32 pm

While fixing the trouble building depots, it seems that patch 1.03a has introduced a bug preventing the destruction of level 1 depots. At least I don't get the button "destroy depot", neither does my PBEM opponent.
