Wed Sep 07, 2011 2:49 pm

Quick question. Do you know if the numbers mentionned for Frontage in the AACWWiki (http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/Frontage) applies to :
- RoP ?
- BoA2 ?
- RUS ?

If not, where could I find those numbers ?

Thanks

WIA numbers look similar

Best place to look is in each games Database files, in the Terrains file:
http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=5358

Some of the DB may not be latest, but AFAIK, these values have not channged much froom the beginning. (WIA unchanged since 1.02b :) )

Hope this helps!

This is interesting and helpful; however, sorting these numbers into a probability outcome is not so clear. I am a late comer to the forum, so maybe what I am asking has already been discussed in detail, but:
How do I take these numbers about frontage and turn them into a quick an dirty gauge of if I have enough units and leaders and a balance of the right forces to anticipate a successful resolution of my attack?
Defense is not as important to know. But might also be a good discussion.

I'm also interested about this topic. From the wiki.

"My recommendations: 4 artillery per division in a large corps (less if you assign artillery at the corps level). Up to 6 or 7 in an independent division. More in a static defensive position in open terrain, fort, or city. If you have a strong stack commander, increase the amount of artillery and try to stick to clear terrain, but don’t overdo it – in anything but clear terrain your excess artillery is dead weight. Having too much artillery is not a bad thing, except for the cost of producing it and the CP cost of having it in your stack."
Most probably definition is about ACW game.

In Drang Scenario in Rus there are models of infantry units that has 5 inf and 4 artillery or 2 inf with 3 artillery elements in it. In Rus, divisions(Groups can be more appropriate) can be formed from 18 elements. So there is possibility to have 8 elements of artillery in a group under * star commander.
What I wonder is does the frontage model adopts ROP and RUS unit models ? or some models need tweaking according to frontage rules?
