Tekans in Kinshasa will not fight

Tue Aug 23, 2011 12:15 am

These tribe seems to be not attackable, whatever I do,
the military control of Nguna (east of it) is not attainable
and some tribal armies seem to be not huntable, even with cav.
Its written that fighting tribals gets easier by the time, not at all so.
The later is no complaint, just a statement.

You have to keep your forces in the region for more than one turn. Its possible that they are avoiding you. I had the same problem with the Bobangi and another tribe (and rebels as well). You'll see military control go up over time, once they are either defeated or retreat in neutral territory.

Something else. I tend to use a sledgehammer :) My six Marine divisions are usually where the fighting is tickest. It also seems that large armies tend to be better able to intercept tribal forces, and once you intercept them, they get clobbered. If nothing else, tribal forces just cross into neutral territory and once they are pacified, they'll join your forces.

All you say is of course right but in this case it is simply not so.
The tekans simly dont fight and the Nguna district does not allow military occupation. It is just as it is in my game. I have a whole corps in off stance staying there as long I can feed it, the military occupation is still zero.

Stupid question, but are you at war with them?

So far using the latest patch I haven't had any problems taking military control of tribal provinces.

Yes and I dont have problems to occupy other regions of the same tribe, that is what is so strange.

Sounds like they have invented non-violent passive resistance as a strategy to defeat imperial power, and in that region it really does take 2 sides to have a war.
