Japan Turn 71 Crash

Hello. My Japan game invariably crashes at turn 71 (Early December 1852). When I click on the "next turn" arrow I'm sent to the Menu screen. All attempts at resuming my game result in this message popping up "Direct X to Main invalid call (Burst Mode)", and the game shutting down. I'm using the latest Public Beta Patch. Help!

Have you tried rolling back a turn:
Go to load game, select your saved game, hit the home key.

Happens to me quiet often. I have learned to save every turn, and resave before I start a next try. Starting 1 turn or 2 before playing somewhat different and it works up to the next time.
If the game wasn't so seducing, I gave it a dustbin kick long ago.
