The Persian situation

Sat Jun 04, 2011 3:05 am

At one point the whole country was more or less run by foreign powers. While tragic for them it does present an interesting scenario for players. How does this game model the events leading to this situation. i think victoria 1 modeled this poorly to be honest.

I pretty much agree Persia's(descendant from old sefavi empire, all the way to semerkand, some parts of buhara,) situation needs and should be reflected with some events that GB and Russia player can have a conflict zone reflecting power struggle to central asia in earlier period in game(Wasnt under influence before and not colonizable. But lost many wars and territory. Thats why at a later date they were able to form some kind of parlament. But ruined after by collabrators.(There was a cartoon film persapolis related to the topic)
AFAIK power struggle also continue during Russian civil war.(also in the RCW game, but not detailed) British troops move from Tehran to Baku to control/secure oil reserves to central asia from communists. But I think those are very later dates for in-game events.
