Renaming: any way to use apostrophes or periods?

Thu Apr 14, 2011 5:57 am

It's a minor quibble, but it bugs me that I can't type apostrophes without triggering the console. Is there any way to circumvent this? I would settle for ` instead of ', but both of these characters open up the console. Periods I could live without, but they'd be nice too.

This is just a minor edit, I need to prevent the console from triggering if the 'string edit' mini window is visible. I'll do that right now.

I don't suppose we could also have slightly more characters. Always bugged me that I can't write out "Army of the Shenandoah" :D

Wow, thanks Pocus. I figured it shouldn't be too difficult, but I honestly wasn't expecting anything to change.

Hey, me too. I tried doing the exact same thing. I figured I wouldn't push my luck by asking for more characters, but that'd be nice too :P

Darn, "Pat Cleburne's World Destruction Tour '11 ft. the Johnston Twins" still doesn't fit.

Thanks Pocus. This had bugged me a few times in the past as well.

Really not nice from you to make me cough while sipping my Jack Da' ;)

A pretty addition indeed, Pocus, thanks

Thanks Pocus! With this level of customer support, I think it's almost time for my third AGEod game.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the 'episodic' rate at which I answers here, this should be better now... Pride of Nations reached an important milestone!
I believe a patch can be delivered for all Ageod games during May, now that things will be slightly less hectic.

Just curious, how do I apply this? Just dl'd 1.16rc4a, and still can't do this. Thanks all.
