Hey everyone, I just purchased RUS and am having a blast learning the game system. Wish the forum was a little busier though. Is there still interest in the game or have most people moved on?
This period really interests me so in addition to learning the game I am reading a book on the Russian Revolution.
Thanks for any replies

Most people are waiting for the incomming next patch.
You will have to read many books, as the period is very rich and heavily politicized.

If you have questions just ask away. Even though there is little activity on this forum right now, you will get answers. Also, AGE games have a long span of live. I for one find myself returning to them every once in a while.

Welcome Aboard Bruce,

This is one of my favorite games... and I hope you enjoy it! :)

I've learned more about history because of Ageod then I ever learned in school. They've got me buying books!

As others have said;

"Any Questions just ask"

it's a great forum

Jack

"Ten days that shook the world" by John Reed is a must read.

Yes, we are all still interested, we just need the patch.

I am playing (and losing!) as the Reds in a 3 player campaign as we speak.

Waiting for the patch here as well. I agree with earlier posts, I just keep going back to the American Civil war game again and again. I think that RUS is the best, or at least the most polished of all the Ageod games. I own all of them! For reading on the Russian civil war, try "A peoples tragedy" by Orlando Figes.
