Considering purchasing e-copy of RUS

Hello!

Previously, I have only purchased games online through steam. The advantage of this is that, when my computer inevitably dies, I am able to download the file again from my steam library.

Is there some sort of equivalent back up evailable if I purchase RUS through this site?

Or will a disc be mailed to me in addition to me downloading the game?

For $30, i certainly hope there is some sort of backup!

I think the better is to have a good external hard drive (or several) where you put your big datas.
If you don't use it too often (just to put some files, and sometimes get some back), it will live many decades. You can even secure it against any corruption by saving the files twice or more.
And it does not need drm nor an internet connection to install the games back. Steam do.

I am sure this is a great game. Pray it is available through STEAM then you might be able to process it. I can download steam but . .. I can just pay for other downloads. I could have donated my money to charity. t

It is right that your game files will be safe with Steam. I usually have still some games around with that platform, but I prefer definitely a retail version and as some substitution I prefer Gamersgate...Why?? Simply because of the fact that no other one will lurk around on my machine If I have to be online for data access in case of steam. In other words I do not trust everyone...Normally I allow Microsoft to lurk around and even Zonealarm, but on one else if possible. And with my past bad experiences with some evil lurkers since my WOW days as I had made some deals with chinese gold farmers...*duck and cover* I prefer definitely some help from Microsoft via Microsoft Security Essentials because that increases my personal security on my machine as good as possible.

In other words some platforms or networks we use nowadays are not very trustful as I think...I prefer to know who has access to my personal data everywhere everytime...

Digital Right Managements are a police that many gamers give them the right (or DRM may take the right without warning) to search as far as their computer heart, just for some games! And police becomes easily bandits, doing illegal, when not controled by us.
For some games, many gamers (Steam is told to be 70% market) let some private police doings invade their computers, but shout after government internet police laws!
With Steam, players don't consider good games are lovables, as Steam can remove them their games, or Steam boss can decide to retire and close Steam: bye all the Steam games!

Hi, if you purchase from gamersgate it also keeps a record of your past purchases and places it in your library, so you can re-download to your hearts content!
Steam I found was too intrusive plus take a wack of memory usage when it runs, gamersgate is a clean install with no DRM as such.

I like steam for some things but not for others. With AGEOD titles I prefer to just download the game. That way I can install the AGEOD titles on my linux box and not have to jump through the Steam hoops to get it to work.

I also make sure to backup the download to a CD/DVD along with the serial number in a text file.

A good external 1To hard-drive (or internal with an USB dock) is now not expensive. You can save all your games and key-codes (and other) on. Make a copy of your key-codes and purchase evidences on an USB key too, as an additional easy security.

Yes, the problem was solved a few weeks ago.

The reason I like buying from Aegod directly is because they are very helpful and will get you your game back, even if you are dumb enough to not back it up!!

Also, and this is som ething I don't think ANY company would do, but I had issues with the AACW in that I bought from another site but had my serial #. It was taking a long time to get another download, and I mentioned it on here and Phillipe Thibault offered to let me download the game because he said he trusted me.

I'm willing to bet that even if Aegod and PI went out of business the people who started this company would still keep in touch with people and get them copies of the game, if the customer asked.
