Newbie Want to Learn

Just bought the game and while waiting for the download to complete

1) Some links for newbie ?

2)Is the manual provided by the download link the latest version ?

3) My previous experience is with American Civil War bu that is long time ago and never really got into the game ..now want to start again with ROP , has things gone easier since ACW ?

None I can think of - the AGEOD wiki has some good information, but not very much specifically for ROP.

AFAIK, yes. As with all AGEOD's games, it's always a good idea to supplement the manual by reading and asking questions in this forum.

Easier how? Being based on the same engine, there are many similarities. ROP is probably easier in the sense that there is less to manage, especially in terms of economic management. The strategic problems are not necessarily easier, though - players still need to formulate war-winning plans. Of course, speaking for myself, the strategic and tactical intricacies grounded in a reasonably good historical simulation of the Seven Years War are what I like most about ROP.
