Who is brave enough to guess the winner now?

For how they have played so far... it should be Germany... but I think this WC can be for anyone of the four semifinalists. :bonk:

Well, I can only say that we are in the final :) . I would like to say that Germany has been a difficult opponent and that also deserved to be in the final ;) .

Good luck to the two opponents but especially for Spain!!

Regards!!

Great header! Now I have no favourite - may the best team win (and I feel it will be Spain).

Good luck on Sunday.

That was a close match. I hoped that Germany would win but alas...Spain was solid as a rock. Well done.

Eh...so far, Switzerland is the only team who managed to beat Spain in this Mundial :D

Hey, you do not have to marry football; just like it for one day and have a great party on Sunday. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your fellow Spaniards!

(But I have to admit that everytime I see Robben I think that he looks like true world champion. It might be the tournament of the Netherlands...)

Congratulations Spain and all her "aficionados". She as a team deserved it (but Robben and Snejder as players also deserved it... :( )

Olé to you too

My dear Rafiki, I did not even watch the game and only yesterday did I knew the result...because it was more than expected. Portugal's football federation has decided on an original way to sack the coach: instead of simply firing him they decided to give him a suspension of 6 months for allegedly interfering with an anti-doping action...in that way either forcing him to resign or at least having grounds to not pay him a compensation... :mdr:
In the mean time the squad is leaderless and some of the rat...I mean players have jumped off the boat: Ronaldo has conveniently got a lesion, Sabrosa resigned, etc.

That's the current state of Portugal's team....

I think it is rare that football teams get to work under perfect conditions; there's "always" a player you'd want to see on the team who is injured (for Norway's part, John Arne Riise was hospitalized after a sustaining head injury on the field the day before the match, yet his brother played one of the best matches he has played for the national team), or there are some events or conditions surrounding the team that take focus away from the match (e.g. Portugal's coaching problems, the English team's players' somewhat carefree attitude towards fidelity, not to mention the French meltdown in South Africa).

However, in the end, the match "has" to be played, the score will be counted and in this case, the end results will decide who gets to participate in Euro 2012. The NOrwegian team played a good match, and I'm looking forward to the coming matches in the Euro qualifier, both against Portugal and against Denmark (while hoping we don't lose points against Iceland and Cyprus ;) )

Well, I think the problem is money... Queiroz has secured a superb contract...IIRC, Portugal's federation will need to pay more than 3M euros to Queiroz if they sack him. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
I wonder who was the bright one that agreed that clause... :bonk:

Also, Real Madrid really played with you... ;)
A week ago, we could read in every newspaper that Ronaldo was injured and he was not going to be able to play for at least 3 weeks.
Today, we can read that Mourinho will include him in the starting lineup this weekend... oh yeah... :8o: :grr:
