New to the community, pardon my english im not a native speaker.
First of all, i`d like to say that this game is mind blowing, great concept, excelent AI, and above all else one of the first games to achieve or fullfill my expectations of WW1, historacally and strategically, (dont know if the word exists :w00t anyway, im not an owner of the game, not yet i just got it from torrents, before u hate me and scream at me, i want to buy it, just not sure if its worth it, im asking players here because it has tons of bugs and crashes often i know updates fix a lot of issues, ¿is it playable now? if it is ill buy it right away plz answer.

If all you are asking about is whether it will crash all the time, then I have to say that based on what I've read it depends on the kind of OS that you have. I'm running Windows 7 and it crashes every few turns, but as long as you save every turn, it is definitely still playable.

If you are asking if it is a fun game, then I have to say yes, it is a good WW1 game that is entertaining once you get over the steep learning curve. I've played 2 WHOLE campaigns from start to finish and I still don't know how to do something but it is still fun.

I haven't tried multi-player, although I would like to. If multi-player is critical to you then ask somebody else if that works right.

And yes, strategically is a word.

I have to say go on by this game right now !! Really really good game, sure little bit difficult, but so deep... and the IA was very strong, once you start, you became mad !!
And for the bug, most of them are fixed with the gold and latest patch (I am in XP), AGEOD did great job...
And last but not least is the only way for you to achieve Schliffen because you Know Moltke did mistake...

The version on Torrent is extremely old, bugged, and any new patch makes the game protected back and you cannot play.

Playing the game on Torrent is not only not legal, it's mainly a non-sense........

So I'm forced to close this thread to avoid unhappy evolution concerning this matter!

[color="Red"]What do you expect? You come into our home and basically brag about stealing from us. Had you done a smidge of research, you would've known there was a demo, which would've covered any and all needs you may have for testing the game.
