New Customer & a question

Hi there!

ROP is my first AGEOD game and I must say I love it! I had the demo for awhile now, but I it was too difficult for me to get into the gameplay (I always thought I look through it when I have time). Now with the current sale I thought: Let's try it finally, because it certainly looked promising. And I love games with a big manual and deep gameplay.

It took me 3 complete days to grasp the game and there's still more to know, but I bought it and love it. The gameplay, the art, the 1 million details in every aspect of the game - simply wonderful. Great job! I will certainly look into buying more from AGEOD. So this sale really got you a longterm customer.

Just wanted to say this first.

Secondly I wanted to ask: Is there an overview over the units and the units with special abilities. I read somehwere on this forum that Pontoon Soldiers can help you cross a river, but how can I get this information inside the game? I couln' find it in the manual (German one).

Sure I can look at all the numbers (maybe I don't know how to read them), but isn't there an overview with maybe simple texts or something or at least a source which describes units with special abilities or is it already in the game and I overlooked it?

Likewise: How can I see ingame (or in the manual) that Pontooners help my soldiers cross the river?

The simplest way to analize all the current units on ROP is to take a look at the DB files and check the models & units files.
However, it is not the easiest one at first sight, specially if you are not familiar with modding AGEOD games ... you will have to invest some time to investigate all the values, but I am sure you will finally get all the information you want.

So I have to guess that Pontooners help the soldiers cross the river (because of the name and because I know they do this in real life)? Or is that also in the DB somewhere?

Welcome to AGEOD!!!

If you bring up the "Element Detail" by clicking on one element of a unit, you can see the stats for that type.

"Hover" your mouse over any Ability icon and the tooltip will appear with a descriptiuon of that ability.
