Regiment Believes it's a Dead General

Fri Jul 09, 2010 11:03 am

I've heard about divisions and brigades keeping the name and picture of their commander after he's been killed in battle. It's a minor glitch and I can imagine them on parade with the color guard carrying a big picture of their beloved deceased general before them.

But this has gone too far. Poor ol' McCook, young, hansom and dashing, cut down in his prime is honored by his former troop, the 1st US Cavalry.

But it's time to move on and get a job done and they need to accept a new leader. This is where I've discovered just how distraught they are at the loss of McCook. They're not only carrying his picture around, but they refuse to combine with another general, because they actually think that they are McCook!

They did let themselves be put into a division though. We just have to let them ride out front of the column with swelled breast. ;)
But even after integration into the division they still refuse to let another general combine with them. Their Nominal Table of Equipment now says just (1 Cavalry) and not (1 General) and (1 Cavalry).

So they're still living in denial. :non:

indeed :)

Sorry for the glitch, there must be some minor bug in this code part, but right now with reduced team, that will not be my priority to fix it, at least not before September...
