Questions on Control

Tue Jun 01, 2010 5:19 pm

Situation: Belgium has surrendered.

I have a couple of German corps in the Dinant region. They have been there for several turns. The control marker flag still shows the flag of Belgium. Is this supposed to happen?

There is a British unit in northern Belgium. It has been there for several turns- yet there is still the flag of Belgium there. I targetted the british unit in my Grand Offensive but was told that I could not target friendly territory.

If Belgium surrenders can no one control their areas?

Not a bug, everything works as designed.

Surrendered/Capitulated nations cannot loose the control of areas, but they provide Right of Passage (also for tracing supply lines) to both sides.

thanks

What about Grand Offensives? Since Begium is considered friendly territory I am not allowed to launch an attack. Is this WAD?

You cannot launch a GO against an area that belongs to a neutral nation, even though it's currently occupied by enemy forces. GOs can take place only in enemy owned and controlled areas.

So, basically, a surrendered nation doesn't more bonuses to the side that defeated it? I mean, it simply give supply, to both sides? Is it normal?

Yes, grants supply and right of passage.
But the former enemy has one enemy less and the former ally has an ally less!
