Serbia scenario freeze

Wed May 19, 2010 12:14 am

Hi,

I got to the siege screen after finally defeating Serbs at Belgrade. I resolved a siege, and then could not get out of the siege screen. the "go to next battle" button did nothing.

Only way to get out of the siege screen was to close the program through control alt delete.

AFAIK Calvinus has already fixed this (should be a rare thing) and will be in the next patch (coming soon)

The siege freeze occurred only in 4-player mode, when both attacker and defender are managed by AI. Serbia scenario is only 2-player mode. So I believe here the cause is different. Please disable the UAC and play the game with PC Administrator priviledges, as this should prevent Windows from freezing the game.

Edit: And last but not least, every time you play a scenario/campaign/savegame, quit the game, launch the game executable again and run the scenario/campaign/savegame. This helps a lot (RAM consumption).

However the patch is incoming! :)

I have windows xp sp3, which I do not believe has UAC. I was logged in as the administrator.
