Kilpatrick

Currently

Cav, Reckless 3-4-1

Helped raise 2nd NY Cav, could get a trait for that...

Known as Kill Cavalry due to his disregard for his mens lives- also jailed 3x during the war for corruption, public drunkeness, etc

Chanc. campaign raided behind Lee...didn't have the desired affect on Lee, but still succesful...

same with sherman

would suggest adding the dispirited trait and perhaps the plunder pop. i know thats been reserved for quantrill, etc., but may be accurate for kilpatrick. ratings are ok i guess

I'd suggest 4|2|1 with cavalryman, reckless and deepraider. His raiding success in Virgina was mixed but he did well in Georgia and the Carolinas under Sherman. Sherman said "I know that Kilpatrick is a hell of a damned fool, but I want just that sort of man to command my cavalry on this expedition". An attack rating of 4 seems too high as not a lot of his attacks were successful.

no dispirited even given his men's frustration with his assaults?

I'd say no. His troops didn't like him but I don't think it was at the same level as Bragg or Burnside.

Also Kilpatrick went by 'Judson' not Hugh as the game uses. The order is unimportant. I've seen H. Judson Kilpatrick and I've also seen Judson H. Kilpatrick but never Hugh J. Kilpatrick
