I bought the game last week and have played the through the tutorials and am now poking around with the West Theater Scenario.
In Henry TN is:
Army of the Tennessee led by 3-star Grant. In his "stack" he has 2-star general G. Dodge. In the same province are 6 divisions; 4 are led by 1-star generals, two are led by 2-star generals, both with better seniority to Dodge.
I wanted to create a Corps so I pulled G. Dodge out of Grant's stack making him a single unit. I then clicked on the Create a Corps button which created a new unit, G. Dodge a Corps of the Army of the Tennessee, so everything seems fine so far. If I add one of the divisions with 2-star generals to the new Corps the commanding officer of the division seems to become the commanding officer of the Corps, the name changes to either JA McClernand or LL Wallace Command. This allows me to then remove G. Dodge and create a second Corps with the same general.
It seems very exploit-y to me that you can use one general to create a Corps then allow someone who couldn't create the Corps take it over so I can create another one with the same general. Is that intentional? Is there something I am missing?
Thanks in advance.
