A lot of leaders in RoP have portraits copied from WiA instead of just generic (faceless) portraits, I assume that's the case for Nadasdy (no clue who he is)...

Oh I see.

Understand the decision that it is better to have a wrong portrait of important commanders than a faceless one, due to the lack of original portraits of the period.

But this is not the case of Nadasdy, besides the one of the avatar there are several available ;)

I continue slowly looking at the portraits, it would be easier with the databases... :neener:

Noiced another glitch, perhaps it is intended?

Von Belling portrait is not used for vB himself but for austrian Lucchese(i) and another prusian commander? Do not remember it I have not acces to the game right now.

A little glitch in the names; Picolomini is Piccolomini?

Took note of required fix, thanks

Thanks PhilThib. Two portraits of prussian commanders. Fell free to use them if you like them  This is the best I can get, cannot create them identical to Gpepper's style

No way to find a portrait of Lucchese

Perfect. Fixed an error in Models file, Lucchese should now appear correct (Sorry Arsan, you were Lucchese, you are now Stahremberg) :D

Please keep on supplying them as you see fit, I'll be glad to add them in the incoming patches.

If you want to see them now, add the following inside the game (after patch 1.01f is applied). Don't forget to remove the ModelsCached file. ;)

Thanks PhilThib

After patch 1.01f ?

By the way, gpepper is part of the team now? Or a freelancer? If I post a picture he will not create a portrait, will he? I cannot create it from scratch myself, just add the color.

Another thing, the pictures of the portraits folder are a bit small. This is the specially the case of the cavalry ones, there is some room for them in the units panel for them to be bigger and with more detail. They are nearly impossible to mod.

The original, full size, can be posted?

No I am not, still a freelancer.
I use to create the portrait with a base picture and redo it in Illustrator. Then I import it in photoshop and resize it...
If you post something, Ageod have to pay me if they want the new portrait...

Cannot do that, only add the color to a black and white portrait like the ones above. Or extract from a color painting and they will look strange

They're great Nikel but stylistically they look hostile in the vector graphics of the game. IMHO

I'm point out some errors i found in demo:

I'm recommending this model as austrian german infantry:
Image
and that which is used for it as austrian light and technician troops (especially looking at those prussian sappers is difficult for me)

I also noticed overusing of hungarian infantry - in saxony as garrison and line - this looks really odd. That model has typical hungarian details (moustache, braids...) and dont fit to represent any other models. I also found this model as garrison unit throughout the bohemia and moravia:
Image
he looks as hungarian frontier troop (and they also defined as "hungarian elite infantry" in the game) so they dont represent bohemian garrison quite well.

This model should be saxon line rather than french - french infantry never used black gaiters and red neckstock

Pangi, you did a few for AACW and they were identical to the original

So I will renew the request to gpepper, but to you ;)

Got Puttkamer in the link below, and there is also a portrait of Macquire, that is wrong in the game. Can you create them?

If you create them I can retire ;)

Also will you mod or create units like for WIA?

Yes, what I said, identical, what do you mean with another strange facial expression for RoP? We need another one though for armies and fleets folder

Concerning uniforms the Saxons (in the Invasion of Saxony-Scenario) look quite weird. :w00t: As Pangi said, they look like Hungarian troops. Also, the Saxon Grenadiers wear tricorns instead of Prussian-style grenadier-mitras.
I don't know how reliable my source is though, and it is only a very very very tiny detail ;) Probably they all wore even worse rags than we think.

My source (you can click on the names of the regiments in the list to see the uniforms...)

I have one question/suggestion about models:
anybody knows what this model represents in real?:
Image
never seen uniform like this (it looks almost as designers vagary) ->
my question is why is not used this model as prussian guard?:
