C.S.S Hunley/Subs?

Mon Feb 08, 2010 8:20 pm

Hi Guys.

Apart from my lack of sleep due to this awesome game, can anyone answer this for me please.
I dug out the manual and checked on here first.....(to make sure the 'old Guard' dont keep repeating themselves!)

In the NATO symbols at the back of the manual (p-52 bottom right) it clearly shows the symbol of a Submarine.....

Ive only ever played as CSA, Full 61 scenario, and i have seen the 'news posts' about the Hunley sinking....(again)

But never been able to build her, or any for that matter, can anyone shed any light on the subject please, as i need another dimension to get rid of them damn Yankee Ships Blockading my ports.......

Am still playing vanilla game, no patches/MODS.

Ta for any help/advice.

I take it the same applies to the following symbols also.

Slaves,Mines and mountain (Mountain Troops? did they have them back then?)
And how come they are in the manual but not part of game play?

Just curious. Thanks guys.

I recall something about Colorado miners that fought for the union and where victorious in a battle v. the CSA in a canyon in the southwest or Texas. Been a while since I read Shelby Foote's Civil War narrative, but that is where I recall reading about them. But haven't seen them represented in the game.

Maybe they're in some other AGE game. The company tends to use similar concepts in each of its games for an "assembly line" effect.
