teleporting armies

in the game im currently playing the confederate western army just teleported from just south of fort gibson in arkansas to fort larimie in the great plains(the entire army not just c in c plus hq).im assuming that this isnt intended to happen or am i wrong?

Was his starting point the western edge of the map? If so, then he just moved normally.

no.he was a couple of regions away from the western edge being chased by general sumter and the next turn he was at laramie

If you have a savegame that shows this, it would be of good help

Laramie is actually not a long march, only like a week for infantry from Kansas. Especially if you force march. Try watching the replay of the round to see his exact path. It's also possible you had bad intel, and his force was actually somewhere else.

the consensus is that something happened that i didnt know about which i can accept,except it recently happened to one of my own armies(teleported from the front line south of memphis to the canadian border.took me ages to find it).replays would be a good idea but ive moved on a number of turns so isnt an option.at the moment im putting it down to a glitch and living with it.
