Patch Question

Gents:

I just purchased and installed BoA2 from Matrix Games today! (8/18/09)

Version V10 1bDR

Question - To update and patch to the latest version, do I click on the update button in the game menu... OR download and install ver. 1.05 patch (I believe it is the latest?) from the AGEOD Forums and install manually?

Or am I already "patched up" to the latest and greatest... since I just completed a digital download and install from Matrix Games today? (8/18/09)

Also; if I need to install the patch manually, can someone walk me through the steps?

Hmm, interesting user name

AFAIK, Matrix game will not be the latest...

The 'update' will get you the latest 'official' patch 1.04c, and simply won't do anything if you are already updated

The 1.05 is 'public beta', meaning almost ready, but we're letting the public have an early 'peek at it'

1.04c plays well, but 1.05 has been 'in the oven' for 6 months!!!

To use public beta 1.05:

• Download the file by clicking on the link, and choosing 'save'
• Once downloaded, go to where you saved it, and extract from the zip file.
• Then simply double click on the resulting file to install. It should go to your orininal install automatically.

Ok. I've downloaded patch 1.04c via the game interface update button.

So, I'm sure this question has been asked (and answered?) a few times... but what is the ETA for the "official" patch 1.05? I'm a little hesitant to load a beta patch... got "burned" with an interim patch for a WWII PC game - it had more bugs in it then a can of worms. It also caused the player community to be on 3 different patches of the game - what a headache!
