Two Basic Questions: Kentucky and Font

Sat Jul 11, 2009 5:00 pm

I'm returning to AACW after some time away, and I'm doing on a new computer. This time it's a laptop with Vista, and it seems to me that the fonts used in the game are showing up differently on this machine. Is there any easy way to try an alternate font with AACW? (There's not a problem or bug. It's just that I don't like the look of this font on my screen.)

Also, I see that something has changed with the campaign scenarios in 1.14: now there are options for "standard" and "with Kentucky." What does "with Kentucky" change, exactly?

Thanks!

I can answer the "w/KY". Basically, the standard game is the game you've been playing since the start, and "w/KY" means VA, NC, TN, and AR cannot be used until events declare they have seceded, and KY cannot be entered until one side buys a support unit called "*SA invades KY".

Thanks, guys! I assumed that "w/ Kentucky" meant "w/ the excellent Kentucky mod," but I wanted to clarify it.

New users might not understand the distinction between the versions, though. Perhaps (at some future date) an explanation could be added to the scenario briefing that comes up during scenario selection.
