Private message from a very new user? SPAM?

Wed Jun 10, 2009 11:02 am

G'day I've just gotten a PM from a very new user, who has very recently joined and never posted.

Hi PM is very generic, not related to gaming at all, and contains an odd pseudo-religious quote. There is also a link in his post, and I'm thinking this looks very much like a form of spam.

Just an FYI for what may become a problem..I didn't know who to forward the message to. I don't want to bother hard-working game designers with SPAM.

I guess when you forward that PM to Rafiki, he will take care of the issue. :)

The SPAM Patrol is on duty 24/7. Basically, someone hits the Report Post function and emails go out to the Admins. Kind of interesting concept actually, when you think about it: Non-SPAM emails which are, in fact, about SPAM. Then, whoever gets to it zaps the account/messages. This is a single operation, but there is no operation that include PMs as well.

I did nuke one account last night, but I cannot even recall the ID this morning.
