Overall I notice more movement in the south as a whole compaired to previous versions. Right now other forces are heading North from western KY/TN towards Cairo, which leads me to my main concern, Missouri.

It's been so long since I've played vanilla I decided to play a couple of months and just capture Jefferson and Rolla to see what effect this would have on loyalty. It rose to 73%, (start's at 63%), after doing the same in SVF it has actually gone down. Once I reached October, again I am unable to build Bde's, all other are possible . I went from starting w/61% to 56 then 55 where it is currently at. When you get a chance can you check on this, thanks.

Thanks

Loyalty: is Springfield your? If not, I bet the cause for loyalty variation is here, as the region is now an objective. Let's say it's an incentive to go South for the North. Jefferson isn't just because I don't see how CSA could hold here for long, without supply line.

Brigades: I identified the cause, I forgot to do the necessary change...next version.

In fact, I made Springfield an objective at a period where there were no command events for AI; it was then only by such a way I could influence AI.

But I kept that because it forces:

- Union to go South...
- South to go North...

in a State heavily partaged between both sides. So in its own way, Springfield ( and Lexington ) forces players to get some victories in Missouri rather than remain too much of the defense, which could have encouraged the enemy side in Missourian population. Sort of a design choice ;)

I have located problem wich I have with SVF. Folders and some files extract wrong althought I do everything as I did before. Few of them extract in SVF folder instead of in game data folder. If I don't do anything I get a crash as soon as I start the game.
If I move them manually I can play.

Report on SVF against Rebel AI
Date: Last weeks of 1861.

East:
Fantastic  ! Few fights. I got HF, Winchester and Manassass. Rebel AI didn't do anything wrong.

Kentucky:
He holds Bowling Green. Johnston was agressive against Grant and repulsed him from Paducah.
AI good

West:
AI solid. It took Lexington at that is great. Wattie is in Iowa wich is ok. But Polk went way too deep. Dubuque, Iowa :bonk: .

Seabord:
Defending ok  .

I will attach my save so you can check it.

P.S. Please send me regions file as I don't have a graphic of Vicksburg area  .
Thanks

Forrest said something about killing a Yankee for each of his horses that they shot. In the last days of the war, Forrest had killed 30 of the enemy and had 30 horses shot from under him. In a brief but savage conflict, a Yankee soldier "saw glory for himself" with an opportunity to kill the famous Confederate General... Forrest killed the fellow. Making 31 Yankees personally killed, and 30 horses lost...

He remarked, "I ended the war a horse ahead."

OK. I will do a new zip file for the next version.

Polk in the last version going to Atlanta...A little better. Work in progress on that.

Vicksburg: the last official version has vreated a new region in Vicksburg vicinity. I implemented this change. You should look at the last official version region folder in the graphics folder and copy it to SVF/Graphics folder one, at the same place indeed.

Thanks for the report

Looked at your save file. <shameless plug on> Pretty impressive AI defense, considering you're playing well and the few ressources at its disposal <shameless plug off>. You should have fun in the next turns... ;)

Rebs kicked Burnside's butt in seaboard theatre  . Lyon lost a battle for Lexington, MO.
I am more then satisfied  :coeurs: .
I still play just to test. I could make some moves better and organize my forces much better but then I would lose too much time. Anyway, as AI got such an improvement already it looks like I will have ro rethink every move I make or there is a chance Athena will win or come very close to it.

I don't have the vain hope AI to beat an experienced player, but Athena has a chance to give a real fight when she knows where she has to go ;) . It is her primary trouble. The second is organization of forces and the last ressources administration. First and three are in large part adressed in SVF. the second is beyond the reach of mod tool unfortunatly...

Note: even if unofficialized by events, CSA wins by surviving at the end of the game, whatever Union victory screen. Union wins when forcing surrendering of CSA before April 65.

OK nothing to do with frozen river. For an obscure reason, Porter fleet went from Big Muddy confluent river region to Chester then Salem. Do you remember what was your intended move?

I compared all the files implied with the official. I haven't seen difference. So I tried to add a naval interdiction line between the region. I didn't do anything in the sector, and There were some problems in both SVF and official versions until the 1.12. Maybe a bug? Or more certainly myself missing the boat. Annoying but let's see if it works.

I think it was one city between evanesville and louisville, ky. I could live with destruction of ships but it is very unlikely that both admirals would die ;)

It was a great move by ai as my army at manassass had only 2 divisions. Rest of them were sent to Winchester to attack Johnston wich was in Harrisburg. He slipped by rail and attacked alexandria while my divisions were stuck in snow in shanondoah valley. If he retreats next turn I can say that ai move was indeed brilliant. Great job Clovis in teaching him to fight

Vould you revert to the precedent turn and send me the files. I can't revert back with those you sent me and I would like to take a look further, something I don't grasp here...

The AI will have the same moves and results should be about the same when you will play again.

Thanks, but for the most part, commends belong to Pocus. I've just helped the Ai to keep safe its force and to be more attentive to some key points. With that, the natural strenght of operational war Athena has in the AACW.exe are just more frequent.

BTW, please say me if next trun you will lose NM due to the presence of CSA army in Washington vicinity.

Not sure but I think I did lose NM already. I guess this happen when that bugy message appears?

As for river ships, should I go back until I get the turn when I have issued orders for ships to move or turn after?

Possible bug in latest version. I have received reinforcements in Sumnter via event. As I remember they fought on their first turn normal. Sfter that I got multiple messages that they had a battle. Like 5 or 6 messages that there was a fight in Sumter on day 6.
There is a chance that one of my actions triggered this bug as as soon I got them I have ordered them to destroy the fort.

Save and log files attached.
