Do I need the big map patch?

Wed Dec 13, 2006 2:17 am

Just a question. When I downloaded the game yesterday and loaded it to my PC, it said I had version "1.02".

I have applied the 1.10d patch and it now shows as version 1.10d.

Do I need to download and apply the Map update - ie: the big 180meg download now too? The last post on the "Map Update" thread in July, said it doesn't apply to to download versions after 1.04 or games bought after May 2006. I'm just confused as I received v1.02 in December!

Thanks,
Adam.

That's suboptimal yes. Our external vendor should have updated the digital download to at least 1.08!

I will provide you with a custom link to a full setup Adam. You will have to download 250 Mb again, but at least everything will be included in one installer. Sorry for the inconvenience, and we will contact the vendor company.

Ahhhhh! I purchased in August and I too originally had 1.02. I do not remember if I ever applied the map patch, is there anyway to quickly tell? Either in game or by a certain file size?

I have the original game and have patched from time to time, eventually to 1.10. I have downloaded the July Map update. But I have never applied any map updates. Should I apply it ??

Yes you can know if you have the map patch if you see small bridges (brown somehow rectangular graphics) on the map. Here is an example:

(see the brown thingies over rivers? they are bridges and fords)

Ok, I did not have those brown bridges.

I downloaded the map pack, installed it, and then reinstalled the 1.10d patch just to be safe. Is that ok to do? I checked in game and now I do have the bridges/fords.
