It would end up half baked like in Vicky or the Napoleonic wars in E.U2.You really need a stand alone game like BOA.

This may not be an impossible outcome either :niark:

BTW; I can see from your icon that you're a fan of "Battlestar Galactica", as I am (even since 1978!). Who would like a great strategy game of Humans vs. Cylons !!

A Space 4X strategy game with AGEOD design would be very interesting.

Non, don't waste your talent on a SciFi game. There is to much rich history that needs attention.

I agree. I have no interest at all in a sci-fi game.

Look at all the historical ages that could be portrayed with this gaming engine: Early Antiquity, Roman era, Dark Ages, Pike and Musket era, Napoleonic era, Industrial age...

I WOULD!!! I love Battlestar Galactica as well...no strategy game has used the tactical view of this show... :coeurs:

And it could make a nice break between historical games....

PhilThib, can you post some Vainglory screens that are not on Imageshack that are large enough to see some details and read the text? I would really like to be able to get some more info on the game, even if it is old stuff.

NB : Once Vainglory will be finished, I would love to work on a steam punk version... (u know Castle Falkenstein, Warmachine, etc.)

a "Secrets of Mars" one would please me much. Imagine fledging european colonies on Mars, barely supplied by Aether Ships coming from Earth, with small expedition uncharting the surround and then stumbling on things best not known to Man?

What I hated about Victoria from Paradox.

Far too many provinces for that scale.

Dreadful economy, trade micromanagement with population points that was just no fun at all.Remember the game Imperialism, that had fun economy.

Internal politics were useless, until the expansion was released just recently.

Navy's in the game were pointless and not even needed. The Warfare model in the game lacked fun as well.

The map, graphics UI are the ugliest in a Paradox game ever..

My dearest Philippe,

Just visited here after a long time and glad to see that "Vainglory of Nations" is under progress. Also I liked the two small screenshots you posted here too much as well as other little information. Philippe, the screenshots are too small to view properly. Would you please post some larger screenshots so that we may view them properly? It won't matter if they are old but if we get the chance to see two or more screenshots it would increase our interest as well as give us some satisfaction. I request you to post some screenshots therefore. Also I am confident that "Vainglory of Nations" would be a great success and one day I would be leading my country as its dictator President! Long live Vainglory of Nations!!!!! :coeurs:

I just read on the Wargamer forum that the game will cover the Victorian era including WW I ! Great news indeed :niark:
