BoA version 1.10D?

Tue Dec 05, 2006 8:37 pm

Hi Folks,

I have downloaded and installed the latest update. I thought it was supposed to be version 1.10D but my screen is showing 1.10C. Is there a version 1.10D? :hat:

Thanks,
Longstreet

I don't believe 1.10d has been released yet.

I think Pocus had originally planned to release it last Friday, though due to untimely hardware failure (not that it's ever timely), it was postponed a little whilst the hardware challenges are tackled.

Quite right indeed, my motherboard died last tuesday and this postponed a bit the release of 1.10d. The good thing is that you will get 2 more things into it that should be handy
1. numbers in tooltips are shown in color (make easier to see important things)
2. you can display the nature of the links between 2 regions (if you cross a river or not for example)

Plus some bugs corrected and a tweak on supply wagons...

Bugs. There are no bugs, not even since version 1. I'm amazed at how minor the tweaks have had to be since you launched this game. About the best of any game company I've ever seen. They've just been tiny insects. :)

I agree!

I agree -- this game is the best....and the support is the best of any computer wargame I have ever had the pleasure of owning and playing. I have been wargaming for....let's see.....over 35 years now -- board games first, of course....no game computers when I started....

Thanks, Pocus....you are the best! :D

Don't make me blush, I'm nothing without the others! For example Sandra spent the friday evening and all the week-end doing art for AACW, and PhilThib is often relieving me of many things so that I can code and debug fast :)
(pardon for the others associates, I'm not forgetting you either!)

Well yeah, but do the others have a cool squirrel avatar in their posts? I think not. :)

I'm a fan of Scrat too!

My personal favorite on Scrat (the one that I use as my background) is:

I like Scrat, I can identify with him. If there is a 50/50 chance, 80% of the time I'm wrong! :cuit:

Pocus, is the 1.10d still likely to surface this week? Need any help with testing it? :sourcil:

Cheers, Chris

I will try to assemble the patch for this evening (should be in the afternoon for american players) but don't hold your breath either, I'm knee-deep in the ACW trenches for now :)

Thanks Pocus, we have put our campaign on hold due to the uprising bug
but we have started a small scenario to tide us over.

Same thing here, as Pocus escapes my attempts to lure him in a multiplayer game, I'm about to start a new BoA pbem... :dada:

PS: And yes, I refuse to play MTW2 with you :king:

Pocus, since I have installed 1.10d, every time I play a game, the refresh rate of my monitor is changed from my normal 75hrz to 60hrz. Why is that?

You can open up a file called display.opt with Notepad, and adjust the res to your liking. I don't use CRTs myself, so I never notice this.

See this thread:
http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=1176&highlight=display.opt

A typical path may be: C:\Program Files\Birth of America\BoA\Settings

This is an issue with the settings file yes. As Flintlock says, run the AGEsettings utility and specify the frequency you need.
