Not to be argumentative ... honest.

Something is different somewhere. Clean install of 1.13 w/hotfix and Kentucky add-on. Just as Clovis stated, no divisions were allowed until Oct.'61. Somehow, something is different in my - and apparantly some others - installation. If this is to be WAD, that's fine. It is just perplexing.

Pocus?

PS - Patch is great!

Hotfix2:
- Replay crash fixed
- VP City filter fixed
- No error message will be generated if a landlocked ship is destroyed (the behavior is WAD - building ships in landlocked regions is not though!)
- Unable to form division problem not reproduced
- Missing a saved game for the 'ships get built in landlocked region' problem

A comprehensive patch will be done once the 2 pending problems are either dismissed or fixed.

Any chance the "with Kentucky Add-on" is the key to the puzzle?

Richdef...do you get the issue with just a clean install/hot fix and no add-on?

I'll post my save games later, I don't have time atm. But playing CSA, I was unable to form any division until Oct 1861 and on that date I recieved an event stated that I could now form divisions. Prior to that my available divisions was always 0.

If this is an event, then Gray will see if this is wad or not.

For the record, I have just tried a dummy game (AI disabled) April 1861 campaign as CSA. Divisions allowed (and "buildable") as per Gray's posted timetable.

AACW clean install (do not know which version is my original one, sorry), patched to 1.13, HF1 and then HF2. I have yet to touch the Kentucky add-on ;)

I bet the key to the mystery is the KY add on. Since Gray said he got most of the KY ideas from SVF, it probably carried over?

That could be, the game I am playing as CSA without the divisions was the KY Mod

The ships in landlocked places problem happened in a PBEM game for me and we were NOT using the Kentucky mod. I'm sorry I don't have a save file right now, I will try to find one later.

Its the April campaign but that screenshot of the tooltip is from the late July turn.

Does any one like the new filter system on "F1"? Or was it only changed in the German version. I must say I preffered the old one.
Any chance of getting back to it?

Has the St. Louis Masacre event been modified in 1.13?

I ask because in my PBEM game my USA opponent just got Nathanael Lyon in St. Louis, Late May 1861.

The thing is, the St. Louis Massacre event thas not fired and I did not get Sterling Price. Granted, Price and his small militia stack isn't worth much, but if he gets Lyon, I want Price.

Is it usual for Lyon to show up before the Massacre? I haven't seen it before, but my experience is limited.

Hit F1 again you can see the old one I think.

Gray_Lensman wrote:The Kentucky Neutral Add-On does in fact inhibit the formation of both sides' divisions until 1861/10/01 for both the Kentucky Add-On scenarios. This is ONLY in effect for the Kentucky Add-On versions of the April and July scenarios, and not for either of the vanilla April/July scenarios. This means it is a MOD at this time and Pocus cannot be bothered with questions regarding Divisional formation in the vanilla scenarios as there are no problems with Divisional formation in those particular official files.

The Tooltip is common for all scenarios however. So anyone seeing the Tooltip should realize that the only time Division formation is inhibited in the original vanilla scenarios is the month of April 1861 as it always has been. Once you reach the May 1861 turn both sides start getting the capability to form Divisions in the current vanilla v1.13 update. (HF1 or HF2)

I'm sorry for any confusion this might be causing and the delay in the answer here, but since my main system is down and out for repairs, you'll just have to have patience probably for the next week or so.

Thanks Gray.

Does make it interesting with the no divisions until October 61. Something may need to be done to balance the 4 divisions the USA gets with the main army mobilizing. Seems to be somewhat of an advantage for the USA, although simply eliminating them is a disincentive to have separate "divisional" stacks (if I am going to get the 35% penalty, I would put them all in the same stack).

Like it? YES!!! I was used to it with WIA, and was really missing it in ACW, as I missed the replay feature, which is a huge improvement for pbem games.
The new filter system doesn't replace the old one, pressing F1 switches between the two, as AndrewKurtz stated.

No, just with add-on ... obviously this issue is pinpointed at last. Good deal!

Hi again,

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post in these forums. It's been more than 7 months now. I've been very, but very busy with work i couldn't find enough time for myself. But in the last month i had a nasty little surprise. My wife bought WIA and WWI as a late christmas present (i can't believe how lucky i am, she risks of pushing me more to the computer knowing the full fact that i'll prefer Ageod games over her :neener: , and yet she bought the two games just to make me happy, what a devotion, i just love her :coeurs :) . And thanks to the global crisis (i never believed i'd say that), i had some time so i had a chance to try both (which i'll mention my observations in the particular sub-forums). I also had the chance to start reading Shelby Foote's Narrative, so i felt the urge to check my favorite-game-of-all-times, and Ageod proved that they can be as surpriseful as my wife. Besides keeping the game alive all this time, you people made a patch that makes it a brand new game, and for free. All the changes made the game even better, and showed me there's still a lot of room for improvement in this 2 year old game. The patch is superb, and with Clovis' mod (yummy by the way), i felt like i was kissing a girl for the first time ;) .

I may not be able to post any bugs or anything like that right now, i just wanted to say how good it makes me feel to see people still being so ambitious and devoted to their work and their customers. I wish i had more time to participate.

Thanks to Ageod and others who takes part in the progress.

PS. Special thanks to Gray_Lensman and Clovis.

Current version of the 1.13 patch is 1.13a, dated today, 30/1/09. Does it mean it already includes the latest HF ?
