Pocus wrote:6.) Corrected the starting ranks of the following generals in both the 1861 July scenario and the Bull Run scenario. Thanks to Bigus for pointing out these discrepancies.
a.) CSA M. Bonham starting rank = 1 star
b.) CSA T. J. Jackson starting rank = 1 star
c.) CSA James Longstreet starting rank = 1 star
d.) CSA Theophilus Holmes starting rank = 1 star
All 4 of these generals were incorrectly ranked at this time of the Civil War. Each of them have their own brigade at the start of these specific scenarios. Also CSA James Longstreet was missing from both scenarios. This has now been corrected and the delayed event which adds him later has been removed.
Cooresponding promotional events have also been created for Jackson, Longstreet, and Holmes in early 1862, if they are not otherwise promoted prior to that time.

You're right. Here is a fixed EXE. I won't post the full patch (change of mind), I think the people testing release candidates are knowledged enough to put an executable file in the right place![]()
Coregonas wrote:Ok...did not take into account the NEW no corps at all until early 62 issue.
looking this patch is nearly ready... as a side question now... perhaps a game run under official 1.12 patch can have some problems turning into this new 112a rc6
i.e. my Longstreet is 1*. I upgrade into 112a a bit before march 62 -> then my longstreet can turn into 2* (a tricky thing Id prefer to avoid)
i.e. my Longstret is a 3* and so on.. -> it can downgrade in march to 2* and lose my army HQ?
So... resuming... shouuld we better WAIT until APRIL 62 to upgrade patch in current games to avoid these problems, or just looking for toofreaky tricks?

Gray_Lensman wrote:I have no idea what you are talking about here. Every version of the game has a LocalStrings_ACW file because if it didn't, none of the text would be displayed properly nor would there be any Tooltips displayed. If you're missing the LocalStrings file, then you definitely have a messed up game installation. There are also 24 regional name changes that are still working so the LocalStrings file is definitely still being used.
