Have Brits ever won the Palistine scenario?

Seems the attacker is at a big disadvantage in this game.
And a question...The four screen modes...Mil, Strat, Pol., and Diplo...they change color...what is this showing me. The Sub modes in the Military screen...what do the colors mean? Is there a manual section on this?

I thought I should re-vigorate the topic.

I too have found that I cannot win the Palistine scenario. Even after several major battle wins. It is like I don't have enought time to complete.

My 2 cents

I think most of the smaller scenarios would be more fun if they were longer. The current time frames match the game time phases, but they don't reflect what actually happened in the operations depicted.

Have to agree with this..the Tannenburg scenario was over before my butt warmed up the seat of the chair!

I played all of the land scenarios. I won one early on, although I don't know how, but lost all the rest. Really I treated these games as no more than an introduction to the game mechanics - a help to get familiar with the nitty gritty of how the game worked. Wasn't so much bothered about winning or losing. I would agree though that they could be a bit longer both as a game and as a learning tool.

True...would keeping the timeframe but breaking it down more, do you think that would work?

It's like I am a little overwhelmed by the grand campaign yet I am underwhelmed by the scenarios. :D
