Good eye, Queeg. I'm so wrapped in in my current campaign I didn't notice this. I wonder if there are other remnants from the impending 1.10. :fleurs:

2. fixed

Maybe it is the setting, I am running on 1280, I tried to change settings, but the game asked me the code number, which I have lost. BTW can I retrieve that number somehow?

Please forgive me for asking a dumb question, but are You by chance playing in "Supply"-map mode? Garrison squares are not displayed in that mode...

Something completely different: Playing the 1775 campaign (again as the British), John Burgoyne was killed in his very first battle (Boston May 75), but rose from the dead the next year to take command of Reenforcements in Canada, thus becoming either the second coming of Christ or the first zombie general in history  :niark: ...

The Colonials have indeed lost most of their suicidal attitude, so I was somewhat surprised that Artemus Ward chose to attack Boston (and subsequently kill poor Gentleman Johnny) in May 75 although Gage's and Howe's armies (both being in defensive mode, not passive) combined had more than twice his numbers (not to mention more than three times his quality). But I assume, the AI checks only the strenght of the enemy army it is initially planning to attack, but doesn't include the strength of other hostile forces in the same region into its calculation (which does make sense to me, since those additional foes will not under all circumstances participate in the battle), right? :)

Burgoyne: this is a known issue, with Burgoyne replacement we went with a simpler script than initially planned, not checking his death as the occurence was very rare.

as for (2) this is abnormal, the AI consider the whole force in a region, as she has no means to know which army will move away or be in passive mode, so she stay prudent ... normally. If you still have this suicide behavior, send me the save, telling me the turn # and where it occured. I will then check what made the AI decision and tweak it.

Aha, I knew it.

BoA's AI is female!

That explains the relentless and vicious counter-attacks I've faced. For hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! :niark:

She's good. :)

Patches

Sat Oct 28, 2006 3:05 am

Must each new patch for this game be applied sequentially, or is each a stand-alone patch. Work has kept me from focusing on this game and I now find that I'm a ton of patches behind. Do I have to apply them all, or can I simply apply the most recent? If the former, will version 1.10 be a cumulative patch, so that I merely have to apply it? If so, I can wait.

Thanks

Yes patches are all-inclusive, and 1.10 will be too.

1.10 need something like 2 weeks to be completed.

I found the problem with squares. They vanish with zoom out at maximum at 1280 resolution, they show up again zooming in

ok... It is done like that because the font was not visible at this zoom level. This surely can be improved, as many others things, but we are very tight on this resource these days... ;)
